A Gift For You
Dear Dad, this work is the result of more than a decade of your careful and patient research, and it is also our family's story. From traveling to Taiwan for on-site investigations, to spending countless hours in libraries studying old archives, you traced the lives, choices, and movements of the people who came before us. Out of dense historical records, you uncovered stories that explain how our family arrived where it is today, shaped by the dramatic changes of that era. This website was first published years ago and then quietly rested for some time. On your 75th birthday, we have gathered these writings again, reorganized them, and present them anew, so our family's history can continue to be read, remembered, and passed on.
